Happy Valentine's Day!

We have had quite the week!  Jess Augustus is now rolling from his back to his belly like a maniac!  He gets to his belly, realizes what he's done to himself, and then gets mad until someone rolls him back on his back.  Then, he immediately rolls on to his tummy again.....he's not quite getting cause and effect yet.

Jess watched his first Super Bowl game the other weekend.  Thank goodness he has 2 football shirts because he had a blow-out in the first one!  Jess really enjoyed looking at all the colors on the TV and listening to the sounds, so I think he may already be a football fan.

Watching with Papa
Grandma and Grandpa Cad came to visit for a night, and Jess got some Valentine's presents to open up.  Baba and Deedee Globa sent him valentines gifts also.  This little boy is spoiled.

Jess got a new mobile for his crib.  Papa did a lot of research, so this thing should keep him distracted for a while on those mornings he wakes up a bit early.  We can't complain, though, because most nights he sleeps from 6:30pm until 6:45am.  LOVE it!

Checking out the light show
Jess is what I would call a "Spinner".  He spins (clockwise only) in his sleep.  So for a while, he was starting to wake himself up in the night because his feet would get stuck in the crib.  Josh just put up a breathable bumper pad and now he doesn't wake himself up!  What a good investment!

Sleeping with his feet stuck
Mama stayed home all day with my littlest Valentine today!  We played so much and we both took a two hour nap this morning.  It was glorious!

Jess had his 16 week appointment at the doctor today, and she confirmed what we already knew.....he is a 16 week old baby in a 8 month old's body!  He was 26 inches (97th percentile), 19 lbs 6 oz (off the charts) and his head is 17 inches around (95th percentile).  The doctor was impressed with his head, neck, and back strength, so we are very proud parents right now.  We had a good laugh when he peed on his doctor as she was examining him.  Woopsie!  Good thing it dried quickly.

We are looking forward to a busy next few weeks.  The Globas come to visit soon, and Jess is so excited!  Uncle Andy and Auntie Candy are also planning a weekend soon to visit.  Hopefully we can see Auntie JJ, Auntie Chele, Uncle Owen, and the kids soon too!
